Q ENERGY sells 105 MWp PV plants in Spain to Dos Grados
Berlin/Madrid, 27 January 2025. Q ENERGY closed 2024 with the sale of two Spanish projects to Dos Grados, a company specialized in the acquisition and management of sustainable real assets. The two PV power plants have a capacity of 52.4 MWp each and are located near Tordesillas in northern Spain, in the region of Castilla y León. Despite the sale, Q ENERGY will remain involved in the project and take care of the EPC part as well as Operation and Maintenance in the first two years after commissioning. The construction work has recently started.
The two PV plants will comprise more than 170,000 modules and will be built close to each other on a total area of almost 220 hectares. From summer 2026, the green power plants, with a total installed capacity of 105 MWp, are expected to generate enough energy to supply nearly 59,000 households with emission-free electricity. This corresponds to a CO2 saving of more than 790,000 tons.
The transaction size is approximately €80 million and was supported on the seller side by Uría Menendez as legal advisors and KPMG Corporate Finance and Transaction Services as financial advisors.
The management team of Q ENERGY said: “This deal once again underlines Q ENERGY's expertise in developing and realising high-value renewable energy projects. We are proud to support the Spanish energy market with a development pipeline of around 5 GW of green power plants. Thus, the Tordesillas project is a further great milestone, with more to follow in the coming months.”
